Next up on my soon to be named and registered list is this Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Pink Smitty and Lizzy.
The blooms are medium is size and compact. They hold up well in the heat and the plant has remained relatively pest free, all great traits to have in a new brugmansia.
One feature I really like about this seedling is that so far the plants have remained below 6 feet tall. In contrast, my Lizzy plants easily reach 8 feet tall during the course of a growing season.
Because I'm sort of scent challenged right now, I cannot tell you much about the scent. I do know it has one though.
Like most pink brugmansia, the bloom color varies depending on the time of year and growing conditions. The photos displayed here show the range of bloom color under our Florida growing conditions. Blooms usually start out a nice soft pink and then mature to a deeper pink over the course of a couple of days.
This seedling will go into my propagation cycle next week so You should expect to see plants available this fall.
