Help Articles

Hi Joelle,

I'm workin on tutorials that should make it easier for everyone to understand how to post images.  Here are the basic steps:

1) Click on reply to open full text editor
2) Select attachments (below text box
3) click on browse to find image to upload
4) Then select upload to upload the image to our server
5) Image name should now appear below "File Name"

To insert the actual image in you post just click on "Insert Image".  If you would prefer just a small thumbnail graphic that viewers would click on have the image open in a pop-up window, select "Create Thumbnail" and fill in the size you want.

If you want to insert an image you have hosted on another site like Flickr, you can use the method that Ruth Ann explained.  Here is what you would type:

Src stands for "source". The "url" is the actual URL of the image you want to display on the page.  Make sure the URL is in quotation marks.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the tutorial Fred. ;)

It's still not working for me, with any regularity, visibility or sense and I have spent several hours today, trying to make it work to upload 2 pics in one thread!!
Is the functionality of this forum browser dependent? ie. does it only support IE or other browsers like Firefox/Mozilla, Opera etc?

I've spent several hours trying to post a couple of images HERE

I follow the steps and I see my images uploaded....I see the options, yet when I preview the the post or edit it, or try to ...I can't see them anywhere. I have no idea whether they will appear in my post or not, although the bottom panel is telling me I have a certain number of attachments for the post, that won't appear.

I don't know what's wrong, however I have spent hours on this today and it's not working for me, which should be a simple function. HELP!!

I use firefox with no problems.

I click on reply, the full text editor has a symbol of a photo over to the left. I click on that and the click browse to find the photo on my computer. Then click upload then click once on the photo I just uploaded.

Here is a more step by step submitted by Liz:

Here's how to post a photo
1. Click "+ Add Reply", located just above > "General Discussion" directly above "Quick Reply" at the bottom of this page. You don't want to make a quick reply. You want to include a photo.
2. You arrive at the "Rich Text Editor." Type your reply to the post. To add a photo, click the "Insert/Edit Image" button in the editor.
3. The "Image Properties" box appears. Paste the URL of your photo into the URL text box. Press "OK".
4. Your photo is added to your post.
* Also, if you click on your photo, you will see handles on each corner of the photo. You can drag them to resize the photo.
5. When you are finished with your post, click "Submit."

Teresa, are you receiving errors trying to post using the attachment bar or via the text editor? Which pod are you receiving error messages in and exactly what do the error messages say?
